Pamela Susan Shoop is an American character actress best known for her unforgettable role as Nurse Karen Bailey in Halloween II (1981) and for popping up in pretty much every major Glen A. Larson show of the late ’70s/early ’80s.

She played David Hasselhoff’s love interest in the Knight Rider pilot (“Knight of the Phoenix”), showed up in the Magnum, P.I. pilot, starred as Alison MacKenzie Tate on Return to Peyton Place, and guested on everything from Wonder Woman, The Incredible Hulk, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, B.J. and the Bear, Simon & Simon, Galactica 1980, Murder, She Wrote, and more.

Daughter of Golden Age actress Julie Bishop and Major General Clarence A. Shoop, she later married ex-Jesuit priest Terrance Sweeney and co-wrote the memoir What God Hath Joined with him.

Still a horror-convention favorite, she’s featured in the documentary Halloween: 25 Years of Terror (2006) and happily meets fans to this day.
