Brenda Benet (born Brenda Ann Nelson on August 14, 1945 in Los Angeles, California – April 7, 1982) was a talented American TV actress known for her dramatic range and memorable guest roles across shows like Hogan’s Heroes, The FBI, Love American Style, Mannix, and Days of Our Lives. Over a 16-year career she built a solid résumé in classic television.

She was married first to former child star Paul Petersen, then to actor Bill Bixby (The Courtship of Eddie’s Father, The Incredible Hulk). Her life ended tragically in 1982 when she took her own life at age 36.
