Meet Karen Duffy, born May 23, 1962, an American model, TV personality, and actress. Known as “Duff,” she’s also a writer and certified hospital chaplain.
She was crowned Coney Island Mermaid Queen back in the day and named one of People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful Women” in ’93. In ’95, she got hit with a rare form of sarcoidosis called neurosarcoidosis. Since then, she’s penned two books about livin’ with chronic pain and reps the Alliance for the Ethical Treatment of Pain Patients.
