Meryem Uzerli was born August 12, 1983 in Kassel, Germany. She’s a Turkish-German actress and model. She got big playin’ Hürrem Sultan in the Turkish series Muhteşem Yüzyıl from 2011 to 2013. The role earned her tons of praise and awards, includin’ a Golden Butterfly.
She grew up in Kassel and started with small parts in German shows. She had bits in Notruf Hafenkante (2010) and Ein Fall für zwei (2010), plus films like Journey of No Return (2010) and Jetzt aber Ballett (2010). At the end of 2010, Meral Okay picked her for the lead in Muhteşem Yüzyıl.
