Meet Sônia Maria Campos Braga, born June 8, 1950, a Brazilian-American actress. She got nods for Golden Globes for her roles in Kiss of the Spider Woman (1985) and Moon over Parador (1988).

Also snagged a BAFTA nom in ’81 for Dona Flor and Her Two Husbands (dropped in ’76). She was up for an Emmy and another Golden Globe for the ’94 TV flick The Burning Season. You might’ve caught her on The Cosby Show (’86), Sex and the City (2001), American Family (2002), or Alias (2005).
