            Cornrows, locks, and braid plaits weren't meant to be hairstyles. They were meant to lay down thick/coiled (black) textured hair and/or be part of a culture. They were never meant for 'white' or straight textured hair, and it looks ridiculous on people with that hair texture. It's even harder to do with straight hair. Straightening hair is a hairstyle though and makes it easier to manage. So Black women straightening their hair to 'be white' is never what they try to achieve.

            Educate yourself before looking ignorant.
